U2 set to level with Rolling Stones

u2nolineU2 are set to equal the Rolling Stones’ record of 10 UK number one albums when the new charts are unveiled this coming Sunday (8th March), according to the latest figures from the Official Charts Company.

Only Elvis Presley and The Beatles can claim more number one albums in the UK.

The new album from U2, No Line On The Horizon, has already achieved sales more than four times its nearest rival, in the first two days of the new chart week. It is likely that this will make it the year’s fastest-selling album so far, as well as the new number one this weekend.

No Line On The Horizon is the band’s twelfth studio album from a career spanning over 30 years. Their first number one album was War in 1983.
