Pete Jenner speaks at MusicTank seminar

Highly-respected music manager Pete Jenner will speak at the third of MusicTank’s ‘Lets Sell Recorded Music’ events, in a speech focusing on how we can license compelling alternatives to file sharing.

More Koch Digital movies coming to iTunes

Koch Entertainment Distribution’s Koch Digital imprint plans to make its catalogue of home videos available for purchase through iTunes.

Michael Rosenberg, president of Koch Entertainment Distribution, said, “Making key titles from our home video library available on iTunes helps position Koch as the premier independent aggregator in the digital distribution space with the broadest distribution network of any independent. iPhone users gain hundreds of indie radio channels

Indie-focused online music radio broadcaster, BreakThru Radio is using technology from TVersity to offer on-demand radio shows to iPhone users.

The news means the broadcaster’s diverse range of channels – covering the gamut, from reggae to rock and (as far as we here can tell from a morning’s flicking between channels) really quite listenable.

Access is easy, iPhone users simply need to navigate to in Safari on their device. One there they will be presented with a series of drop-down menus which allow them to choose the on-demand show they want to hear. Continue reading

Incredibly rare music items up for grabs on eBay

UK independent music companies have launched the world’s largest ever music, memorabilia and experiences auctions on eBay. The auction is part of the Independents Day 08 Campaign which also includes the release of an independent music album featuring the cream of indie acts and a Channel 4 TV show. The auction will offer hundreds of opportunities to bid for “money can’t buy” experiences and rare artist merchandise and will offer new items every 10 days until July 6.
