The Sonix7 Extreme and the Sonix7 Lite are a lot cheaper than Apple’s product. The iPod touch costs £199 (8GB model) or £269 (16GB model). The SonicLite costs £39.99 while the Pro version costs just £59.99. The Sonix7 Extreme costs £79.99.

Microsoft’s Zune has lost its biggest fan, Steven Smith.
Smith was the man who last year declared himself so nuts for the Zune he went along and got three Zune-themed tattoos….now he says he wants to get rid of them and doesn’t want to be part of the Zune “community” any more. The news there, of course, is that there’s a Zune community in the first place. Still, with the product only available in the USA, perhaps there’s small semi-religious outposts of Zune worshippers, engaged in ritual iPod sacrifices, or something. Continue reading →
Creative has introduced its ZEN Mozaic portable media player. The device offers a built-in speaker, an 0.8-inch LCD colour screen, FM radio and voice recorder and is available next month in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities. A 16GB model will be available after the summer. Prices range between £49.99 for the 2GB model, scaling up to £119.99 for the not yet available 16GB device. Continue reading →
