G N’ R: 25k iTunes sales, 7Digital undercuts

New reports claim first-week US sales of the long-awaited Guns ‘N’ Roses album, ‘Chinese Democracy’, have reached between 300,000 to 500,000 copies.

The report also claims the album has seen 25,000 downloads through the iTunes Store in the US, though the album won’t show up in the charts until next week.

The band’s free MySpace streaming premiere of the album attracted 8,429,387 plays in the first four days.

Guns N’ Roses make iTunes link for new album

Don’t say we didn’t try to warn you yesterday, but it looks like Guns N’ Roses are getting a whiff of digital, promising a free advance track from forthcoming album, ‘Chinese Democracy’ to customers pre-ordering the release.

The long-awaited album ships in the US on November 23 and the UK on November 24. Fans who order a copy from Sunday (November 9) will get the album’s title track immediately, and will be able to get hold of the album in its entirety come release day.

You won’t see these details on iTunes just yet – the album’s not yet listed on the US or UK stores, so watch the artists page, we reckon – well, that’s if you’re curious about the album.
