PulpTunes 1.0 iTunes server ships

All your music anywhere with PulpTunes 1.0, a web server for iTunes which enables users to access their full music libraries from a remote Mac or PC using a web browser.

Released this week, the developer has invested in a new user interface and reports the new build software to be “stable”.

The Open Source software is available for download now, with a different version for each platform (including one version for Linux).

Announcing the release, the developer said: “I’m thinking user authentication is something important. That is, being able to manage on the server side a list of groups and users to whom grant access to your library. There are some other things I can set as permissions, like the ability to rate songs and upload new songs. Also very important to have toggle buttons for random and repeat modes.”
