NBC’s CEO Jeff Zucker speaks with Kara Swisher at the All Things Digital conference. He talks about the state of broadcasting in a transition market, and has some interesting things to say vis-a-vis his network’s relationship with Apple.
“We’ve always loved Steve, it’s not personal,” he explains of recent disagreements between his company and Apple on price. “We didn’t think that a library copy of the Rockford Files should sell for the same price as a new copy of Battlestar Galactica.”
Zucker adds, “Apple didn’t want to cut us in on hardware sales, which we asked for. That’s their business, so I get it.”
Kara Swisher is a dimwit.
