“Following news that some mobile device manufacturers have been unable to back up advertising claims regarding their ability to fully access the internet, primarily due to lack of Flash support, feature-heavy devices by manufacturers such as Archos are now being viewed as a serious alternative for gadget fans,” Stuff Magazine states.
(It is interesting that the Apple ad snidely referred to there is one for the first-gen iPhone which was broadcast in the UK once last year…).
So, here’s the story, Stuff allegedly ran an independent survey on its website asking readers if the new Archose gadget was better than the iPod touch.
“The results were very conclusive with 83 per cent of its readership thinking the Archos 5g could be an iTouch beater,” Archos PR explains, before moving to extol the virtues of the new device from Archos, not least its support for Flash, TV record and audio record facilities and more.
We at Distorted Loop would like the chance to pit the Archos device against the next-gen iPod touch which is due to land next week. We do agree that Archos has been generous with features in its device. Drop us a line…
