RIP: Norman Whitfield

Norman Whitfield, Grammy-winning songwriter and the producer who helped shape the direction of R&B and soul music at Motown Records in the ’60s and 70s, died Tuesday. He was 67. He co-wrote the song, ‘Heard it Through The Grapevine’ with Marvin Gaye.
