The annual event takes place this Thursday (November 6) at the IndigO2. The awards have been running since 1996 and set out to recognise the bes student radio talent.
The Student Radio Awards are a showcase the next generation of talent who will be shaping the future of British radio. Greg James (BBC Radio 1, Early Breakfast Show) Marsha Shandur (XFM London, Saturday Breakfast and Sunday Roast) and Philippa TJ (BBC 6 Music, Chart Show) are just some of the DJs the awards helped to launch in radio today.
The awards this year received record entry numbers and will be hosted by Radio 1 DJ’s Scott Mills and Fearne Cotton. The award ceremony comprises thirteen different categories including best specialist music programming, best interview, best marketing and branding and best student radio station.
