New Depeche Mode album streaming free today

depechemodepicWe7 and NME have teamed up to offer fans the chance to listen to the hotly-anticipated new Depeche Mode album for a week before it is released.

Depeche Mode’s ‘Sounds Of The Universe’ is available from this afternoon (April 14) for fans to stream for free from the pages of NME.com. As NME’s streaming music partner, We7 is powering the exclusive album listening party via a widget on NME.com.

“We7 is delighted to work with NME and EMI/Mute to stream the new Depeche Mode album one week ahead of its release. We7’s widget is the perfect vehicle to host music on 3rd party websites. We7 encourages other repertoire owners to allow people to hear exciting new music before release to build excitement and buzz…and to stop people going elsewhere to find it unlicensed,” said Clive Gardiner, Senior Vice President, Digital Content at We7.

Depeche Mode also recently teamed up with Apple’s iTunes service to offer an all-new feature, the iTunes Pass, a new system which lets music fans can get new and exclusive singles, remixes, video and other content from their favorite artists over a set period of time, delivered to their libraries as soon as they’re available.
