Digital TV comes to Japan’s iPhones, iPod touch

Japan’s I-O Data has introduced the $70 SEG Clip, a small USB device which allows iPhone and iPod touch users to watch digital TV on their device.

The solution’s only available in Japan as it is the only country — along with Peru and Brazil — that uses the 1Seg digital TV standard.

The stick plugs into your computer’s USB port and users can stream digital files from their computer to their iPhones using WiFi. You can also store the video on your iPhone/iPod touch to watch at a later date.
