Apple’s iTunes team seems set to sack Peaches Geldof from her job co-presenting ITV’s coverage of the iTunes Festival with MTV host, Dave Berry..
These moves follow allegations this weekend that Peaches had suffered an overdose this last weekend.
“The 19-year-old – whose mother Paula Yates died of a heroin overdose in 2000 – was given mouth-to-mouth resuscitation by a friend before paramedics arrived to her London home on Sunday afternoon,” The Sun said.
Apparently, her friend’s intervention saved her life.
Peaches then got angry with the ambulance crew, telling them to “respect” her privacy and refusing to go to hospital in case the story got out.
iTunes bosses are now worried about the impact the story may have on their brand, which is why they want to dismiss her from hosting the show, London newspaper, reports claim.
Apple bosses are reportedly, “furious and have been in talks with ITV chiefs about whether to sack Peaches. They are a massive worldwide brand. If your audience is thousands of teens, you’ve got to be careful.”
