Apple’s iPad (3G) will be available from Orange, O2 and Vodafone in the UK, the carriers confirmed this morning, but pending news from Apple no prices have been announced at this time.
Apple yesterday announced that the launch of the iPad in the UK would be delayed until May due to strong US demand for the device.
Orange will also offer iPad plans in Switzerland, France and Spain, while Vodafone will deliver these in Germany, Italy, Spain and Australia. In the UK we’ll have to wait until at least May to find out how much an iPad will cost.
Consumers will need to buy the full price 3G-enabled iPad through Apple, and buy the data plans separately.
We’re intrigued that Apple has still not revealed prices for the iPad in the UK. We do hope the company doesn’t intend following an Adobe-like patter for price-setting here.
