UK online music service, 7digital and home entertainment specialist, Imerge have joined forces to implement a system that allows users to access and purchase high quality MP3s directly through Imerge’s home entertainment systems.
Imerge provides luxury entertainment systems that allow customers to record, store and playback music, video and media to multiple rooms in their home through connected control panels.
Sonos has introduced a new version of its Sonos BU250 Multiroom Music System. The new Bundle 250 lets you wirelessly access your digital music collection as well as a wide range of Internet radio and streaming services (Pandora, Last.fm, etc) in two rooms of the house, with the option to expand that to 32 rooms.
The latest system adds a major upgrade: the excellent CR200 touch-screen remote, but the system can also be controlled by any iPhone or iPod touch running a free application that’s available via the iTunes App Store. The result – a whole-house music system that’s easier to control than ever before.
The Livestation technology puts broadcasters in direct contact with the users and generates revenue for them when the application is purchased from the iPhone App Store.

For all of you – good news, the wait is over with the launch of Star6, which does all of this.
This opens an opportunity for other carriers to offer the device in the UK. At present, Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile are all thought to be making a play to offer the device through their networks.
ME adds its “sources say that O2 may retain sole rights to the recently launched iPhone 3G S.”
Naturally, freeing the iPhone up for offer through other networks in the UK is extremely likely to generate a third wave of sales of the device. UK mobile phone users tend to prefer to make an open choice between carriers. Read the rest of this entry »
