Statement from boxee on the release of the Hulu app for Mac and PC today:
“For those of you working on stories about today’s launch of the Hulu desktop application, I wanted to let you know about the blog post we’ve just put up in response.
“Hulu just launched their own boxee-like application for watching Hulu content. the new downloadable application is built to be used from the couch with a remote.

Placebo are doing it again, announcing a worldwide exclusive playback session of the band’s new album, ‘Battle for the Sun’.
The album – described as “Placebo at their breathtaking, irresistible best.” by Mojo in a recent review – will be available for online playback to fans registered with the band’s own website from 9am GMT tomorrow, Friday May 29.

Apple’s plans for the Apple TV
continue to sneak into the present, with Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirming Apple’s growing stance in the games market.
“There’s a new entrant in the business – Apple, with the iPhone,” he said, speaking during his company’s financial results call. “And we don’t think they will stop there.”
