U2 set to level with Rolling Stones

u2nolineU2 are set to equal the Rolling Stones’ record of 10 UK number one albums when the new charts are unveiled this coming Sunday (8th March), according to the latest figures from the Official Charts Company.

Only Elvis Presley and The Beatles can claim more number one albums in the UK.

Gary Beech has joined EMI Music

emiGary Beech has joined EMI Music North America as its Senior Vice President, Urban Marketing. Beech, who begins immediately, is based in New York and reports to Howard Handler, Executive Vice President, Marketing at EMI Music North America. 
 
He will oversee product management for EMI’s US urban roster, including Avant, J. Holiday, LeToya, MIMs and Novel. He and his team will also provide support for independent artist projects from EMI Label Services such as Fat Joe, Twista and Bobby Valentino.
