Kanye West will release a remix compilation album featuring versions of tracks taken from previous albums and other hip-hop and reggae cuts through digital music service, Imeem.

DJ Benzi and Plain Pat were commissioned to put together the compilation, called ‘Sky High’, which is currently being streamed by Imeem and will reach hip-hop blogs later in the week.

Discussing the project, DJ Benzi told MTV: “Each remix had at least five revisions before finally complete, and I’m sure it drove some of the producers insane,”

“In the end, I’m psyched about the project. I think we did all of his classics justice.”

The compilation is already spreading across the interweb, and listeners can purchase downloads of specific tracks.

West is to release his new album, ‘808s & Heartbreak’ later this month.
