Hey Steve – I think “useless” may be a little harsh, but you certainly have a point re: the product’s impact on battery life, that’s why I mentioned it required power from the phone, but hey – even better would be if AAPL switched on their A2DP Bluetooth streaming,

This device is worthless unless it has a pass-through for charging the iPod or iPhone. Seems like the device could also charge itself at the same time. Duh!
