iTunes, NBC, TV Guide offer ‘30 Rock’ for free
In an interesting new twist, US television guide, TV Guide and NBC have linked up to offer the premiere of hit US drama ‘30 Rock’ as a free download through iTunes.
People purchasing TV Guide will receive an iTunes code which will entitle them to download the first episode of the new series for free one full week before it airs in the US.
The giveaway ties in to the cover of the Oct. 27 issue arriving on newsstands Oct. 23 with Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin on the cover.
TV Guide’s J. Scott Crystal said the move make sense because the magazine “reaches a younger and more TV-tech savvy audience than ever before.”

Am I the only one who can’t find the “Redeem” button on the iTunes store? I already have iTunes on my Mac, I click iTunes Store, get the storefront, the next step in TV Guide says “Click ‘Redeem’” but there’s no “Redeem,” and searching for “30 Rock” doesn’t seem to show me anything that sounds like season 3’s first episode.
