BBC launches Eastenders channel on YouTube

BBC Worldwide has created a dedicated EastEnders YouTube channel.

The channel will offer video clips from the last 13 years of the show including memorable scenes and iconic characters including Den and Angie Watts.



The launch is the second programme-specific YouTube channel launched by BBC Worldwide, it launched a Top Gear channel in August.

Simon Danker, digital media director at BBC Worldwide, said: “We’re committed to building more communities on the web around shows like EastEnders that people are really passionate about. We’ve done it already with Top Gear on YouTube and MySpace and now this EastEnders channel will allow fans to communicate on a daily basis and watch favourite moments from the soap.”

BBC Worldwide’s own YouTube channel was launched in 2007.
