The Daily Mail is reporting Apple plans to introduce an smaller, cheaper ‘iPhone nano’ in time for Christmas 2008.
The report claims the new device will retail at up to £150 for pay-as-you-go customers and will be available exclusively from O2 in the UK. The Daily Mail cites industry sources for its claims.
“A cut down version, with the candy bar shape of iPod nano music players, would be a huge hit as a Christmas gift,” the industry insider told the Mail. The report speculates the nano phone will have a touch wheel on the back and a display on the front.
First intimation of Apple’s plan to launch an iPhone nano were revealed in April, when it emerged the company was considering the launch of an entry-level model to widen the reach of the iPhone.

I’ve loved Apple products for some time, they produce products that is visually gorgeous while working like a everytime I use it. I can’t say that about alot of companies, it’s typically one or the other. Companies don’t usually take aesthetics seriously like Apple. With me stating that I’ve got to say that I’m very excited about the new iSlate. One thing I question though, is it too soon? I’m afraid that this may be ahead of our time. What do you think?

I have a bit of a problem . I would love to get a good unlocked phone and cannot make up my mind on which one to select. To begin with, i am considering the Nokia 5070, which my friend has. It appears pretty tough, and it all seemed good, but i began looking at others. Now my biggest dilemma is choosing between the Nokia N97 and the Samsung B3310. All advice is welcome.
